Supporting Tourism in Fayette County

Fayette County Travel & Tourism Bureau is dedicated to fostering projects that enhance tourism and recreational opportunities in our community. The Tourism Assistance Grant (TAG) Program provides funding to local nonprofit and community organizations to support initiatives that attract visitors, increase public engagement, and contribute to the county’s economic growth.

Tourism Assistance Grant (TAG) Program

Fayette County Travel & Tourism Bureau established the Tourism Assistance Grant (TAG) program to enhance and strengthen the positive economic impact of tourism within Fayette County. Grant funds are available to nonprofit and local community organizations that support recreational and tourism-related activities benefiting the county.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must propose a project with the potential to increase tourism and/or recreational activity in Fayette County. Projects should demonstrate organizational stability, generate public awareness, and contribute to the overall growth of the local tourism economy.

This is a reimbursement grant and is not intended to cover the full cost of a project. Applicants are expected to obtain additional funding from other sources. The maximum grant amount available per project, per year, is $5,000. Funding must be used for events or projects completed within the same calendar year.

Fayette County Travel & Tourism Bureau is now accepting applications for the 2026 Tourism Assistance Grant Program. Applications must be submitted by Monday, November 24, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. All submissions will be reviewed by the Fayette County Travel & Tourism Board of Directors. Notification letters will be mailed to applicants by December 31, 2025, and awarded funds will be available beginning January 1, 2026.

If an awarded project or event is cancelled, deemed infeasible, or cannot be executed, the allocated grant funds will remain with Fayette County Travel & Tourism Bureau.
